Program of research (2017-2020)

One of the strategic directions in ACARA’s Charter is for ACARA to assemble the evidence base required to review, develop and refine curriculum.  ACARA’s current work plan includes a program of research into emerging curriculum trends to inform future refinements and improvements to the Australian Curriculum. The program of research includes literature reviews, comparison of the Australian Curriculum with curricula from high-performing school systems and countries, and engagement in international curriculum projects.
