Digital Technologies - Above satisfactory - Years 7 and 8
Portfolio summary
This portfolio of student work shows that the student can distinguish between different types of networks and defined purposes (WS5). The student explains how text, image and audio data can be represented, secured and presented in digital systems (WS2, WS3). They plan and manage digital projects to create interactive information (WS1, WS2, WS3, WS4). The student defines and decomposes problems in terms of functional requirements and constraints (WS2, WS4).
The student designs user experiences and algorithms incorporating branching and iterations, and tests, modifies and implements digital solutions (WS2, WS3, WS4). They evaluate information systems and their solutions in terms of meeting needs (WS1, WS2, WS3, WS4), innovation (WS2, WS4) and sustainability (WS3, WS4). The student analyses and evaluates data from a range of sources to model (WS4) and create solutions (WS1, WS2, WS4). They use appropriate protocols when communicating and collaborating online (WS1, WS2, WS3, WS4).
