Ensemble: Blueback fire
Summary of task
Students studied the novel Blueback by Tim Winton and completed this dance task as part of an integrated unit that involved English and The Arts. The task required students to work in small ensemble groups to choreograph a dance sequence as an epilogue, interpreting what happens after the final chapter of the novel. They also composed and recorded the soundscapes that accompany their dances and viewed Bangarra Dance Theatre pieces as exploration of dance.
